2015 Oliver - Phoenix Theatre & Phoenix Symphony - Oliver

Vincent is a very talented young man, who brings an honesty and detail to his work that is a level above most young actors his age. He daily brought a focus and concentration to his work in rehearsal. I watched him respond and grow to and with direction, get along with his fellow actors (both adults and those his age), and manage to resist being distracted despite the many possibilities that were around him. In the end, his performance was of top quality and everything we could hope for, particularly given the special circumstances of working in front of a symphony orchestra with a conductor behind rather than in front of him.

...As Oliver, Vincent Jacovo was appropriately sweet and naive and able to hit some lovely notes in his solo "Where is Love?" click for full review

2014 Jungle Book - Valley Youth Theatre - Mowgli

... This version as performed by VYT concentrates on two early adventures, the story of Mowgli’s Brothers, where the boy Mowgli (a perfect jungle boy, Vincent Jacovo) becomes part of the pack..

I have worked with Vincent Jacovo in two different shows and each experience has been nothing but a pleasure. He has always showed such professionalism beyond his years, he is always prepared and willing to work. His ability to focus in rehearsals and to take direction is exceptional for an actor his age. I have never once heard him complain, and he has always had a very positive attitude. His passion for his work is evident in his performances and there is always a continued effort to improve. If I have the opportunity to work with Vincent again it couldn't be too soon!

Vincent first auditioned for me in the beginning of 2012 for a Big Brothers Big Sisters commercial. I remember thinking at the time that Vincent seemed very eagar and excited to participate. With very little time, he memorized his lines and worked on his expressions needed for the many scenes that we would be shooting.

2014 Jungle Book - Valley Youth Theatre - Mowgli

...Fifth grader Vincent Jacovo played Mowgli, the main character of “The Jungle Book.” It seems as though Valley Youth Theatre is already becoming too small a venue for him. His emotion throughout the play seemed so genuine.

2013 Seussical - Valley Youth Theatre - JoJo

... The backdrop becomes a starry night sky and John Batchan sings an inspiring and touching version of Alone in the Universe as a duet with young JoJo (Vincent Jacovo).  Whatever production reservations you may feel at other points of the show are evaporated the moment these two boys sing.  Their voices harmonize and blend in a single moment of sublime musical theatre making you feel not only momentarily good about yourself but if there is any moment in the production that effectively underlines the on-going theme that a person is a person, no matter how small, this is that moment, and it’s wonderful.

Vincent has studied privately with me (voice and piano), and has grown tremendously as a singer and performer. I have been amazed to see his progress over the last two years, and the sky is the limit for this young performer. I believe that Broadway is in his future, and I know that he has the motivational drive, and the ability to pursue to highest levels of performance.

Yours Truly,

Tim Juillet (Vincent's Voice Teacher)

I have had the pleasure of working with Vincent as his director on numerous plays and musicals over the past several years.  I have always found Vincent to conduct himself in the most professional manor.  He always arrives for rehearsal on time and is always prepared.  He works hard to learn his lines, lyrics, blocking and chorergraphy as promptly as one would expect from an adult professional.   He takes his work on stage very seriously and is a true professional.
Vincent would be a valuable asset to any production and I give him my highest recommendation.
